Non-Tenure Track Mass Assign: Start

The Non-Tenure Track Mass Assign: Start page, allows you to create new assignments or update existing assignments for non-tenure track faculty positions.

To start a document for creating new assignments:

  1. Begin on the Tools tab in HRMS, and select Create Non-Tenure Track Mass Assign/Update document from the list of options.
  2. In the Reports To Unit field, type the unit code that owns the positions you want to update, or use the lookup tool lookup icon.
  3. In the Creator Desk field, type a creator desk or use the lookup tool lookup icon.
  4. Click View Unassigned to display a list of positions and incumbents whose assignment end dates are prior to 9/1 of the fiscal year of the document.
  5. Select positions to be included on the document by clicking each check box, or click Select All.
  6. If you need to change the positions to be included on the document, you may click Clear All Selections and start your selection process again. If you wish to start over from the previous page, click Start Over. If there is no check box available in the Select column, the incumbent has already been included in another document. A link to that document will display in the Conflicting Document column.
  7. After you have selected positions for the document, click Create Document for New Assignments to go to the Non-Tenure Track Mass Assign Document: Assignment page.

To start a document for updating existing assignments:

  1. Begin on the Tools tab in HRMS, and select Create Non-Tenure Track Mass Assign/Update document from the list of options.
  2. In the Reports To Unit field, type the unit code that owns the positions you want to update, or use the lookup tool lookup icon.
  3. In the Creator Desk field, type a creator desk or use the lookup tool lookup icon.
  4. Click View Currently Assigned to display a list of faculty who already have assignments as of 9/1 or later in the fiscal year of the document.
  5. Select positions to be included on the document by clicking each check box, or click Select All.
  6. If you need to change the positions to be included on the document, you may click Clear All Selections and start your selection process again. If you wish to start over from the previous page, click Start Over. If there is no check box available in the Select column, the incumbent has already been included in another document. A link to that document will display in the Conflicting Document column.
  7. After you have selected positions for the document, click Create Document for Existing Assignments to go to the Non-Tenure Track Mass Assign Document: Assignment page.
