Department System Department Head Authorizations
The UT Department System represents the official organizational structure of the university. It maintains the departmental hierarchical structure as well as departmental information, including department heads, titles, classifications, address information, and official Web site links. A user who is authorized as a department manager or updater can make changes to his or her department's information.
The Department System Department Head section is accessible from the Employee Authorizations section. The screen below lists Department Head authorizations for departments at specific institutions.
- The Department column identifies the various departments for which the employee holds authorizations.
- Campus refers to the academic institutions that comprise The University of Texas System. Each has an assigned code.
- If the user has a large number of authorizations, a Continue button () may appear at the bottom of the screen. Click the button to view additional entries.
- Use the right-hand scroll bar as needed to view additional entries and the up/down arrows to reverse the order of displayed data.
- To remove an authorization, click the Request Removal link; notifications will immediately be sent to all owners of the related authorization, informing them of the action.
NOTE: Be absolutely certain that you wish to remove the authorization before clicking the link.
